300winnieRuger 77 (tang safety) and Timney trigger
I just aquired a Ruger 77 with a tang safety that was a custom job in .30-338 that has a Timney trigger on it. I aquired the rifle with one of two intents: Either sell it to make a little or keep it for the stock (Bell & Carlson) and the action to do something with in the future (I don't need or want a .30-.338 as I shoot a .300 Winchester Magnum for the needed purposes, and am perfectly happy with that caliber).
I also have a .243 Winchester in a Ruger 77 with tang safety that I am fairly attached to, but the trigger is rough to say the least.
My question is this: Can I take the two triggers and trade them? If so, how difficult is the transition? I don't have any instructions or paperwork on how to do it, and if it is possible, does anyone have that information they would be willing to share?
Thanks in advance.

bshooterWhy not just have the trigger adjusted by a competent gunsmith? I have three tang safety 77s and have the triggers adjusted quite nicely. You might try this first. jmho

300winnieclattin,
Thanks for the offer. The .30-.338 has a Bell and Carlson on it. I would love to have one for my .243, but the long action won't work
