Martini problems"hic"
Just picked up somebody else's junk pile. Martini rimfire, mostly converted to centerfire, in 22 K-hornet. No wood, no stockbolt. Face of centerfire conversion not quite right. Bottom of primer pokes out of fired case. Is it possible to weld onto the bottom of the "bolt" face and resurface? Any other possibilities?
Thanks

Here's the link to where I asked about doing this conversion on another forum:

It sounds like they dropped your block by taking some off of the legs. This would tip the block in at the bottom. perhaps letting the primer flow. The procedure for lapping the breach face might cure it, but I am not sure if the headspace would be good. You might want to pose this question there to see what the response is.

Didn't the drop the block when converting A centerfire to rim fire. This is a centerfire a dropped breech wouldn't allow a centerfire firing pin to reach the primer.
It sounds like headspace. If you fire an oiled case the rim will come bach and the case will fill out fotward. If you back off the resizer until the cas will just enter easily you should be good to go.
Good Luck!
