Seeking rear scope base for JC Higgins M50, with 0.86" hole spacing.
I have a JC Higgins Model 50 FN mauser 98. It's rear receiver is drilled and tapped, but with 0.86" hole spacing (not 0.50").

What are the options available for a rear scope base for this rifle and hole spacing? I'd like to have a Weaver style base (able to be detached fairly quickly in the field).

Thanks in advance.

Talley makes one.

Or, you can have a Weaver blank machined to fit.

One option that I recently went with was to use a leupold(Redfield style) set that had the .500 rear spacing. The bottom was contoured for the FN style bridge(no charger hump) and the base was designed to hang over the loading port.

I had the holes in the base drilled to fit the .860 spacing. The front of the base is now even with the front of the bridge. The rear of the base had to be trimmed so that it did not hang out over the back of the bridge.
