I've just used true oil to seal a laminated stock and plan to spray paint some camo over it. How long should I let the true oil cure before painting?

My rule of thumb has always been, If you can smell the true oil/finish then it's not cured.

If you want the paint to stay on or last, you should remove the true oil. If it is not a big deal that the paint should stay then go ahead and paint over the oil. Just make sure that it has cured enough first. IF it resists scratching with your fingernail it should be cured enough.
I would use some white or gray 3M scotchbrite and LIGHTLY sand the true oil finish. All you need is fine scratches that you have to hold the stock up to the light in order to see. Then go ahead and paint.
I feel this would be the best method for what you intend to do. It is not the method hat I use to refinnish stocks however.

Paint will not interlock with trueoil...I would sand to the wood and go to 320 grit. then paint the stock...or get me a camo net cover or camo tape.
