New safety options for Arisaka?

I have a friend who has a beautiful cifle built many years ago on an Arisaka. The problem is that is still has the original safety. Are there any options available for a new safety? Can any of the safety/shrouds like Gentry or others be fitted to it?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I believe Timney is making triggers for these rifles again, with a side safety. I used to use them 30-35 years ago but they quit making them. The new catalog I picked up at the Shot Show has them listed. Bill

Midway USA is selling the Timneys with side safety. Simply leave the Arisaka safety in the off position and use the side safety. Thanks...Bill.
