Trigger help on a Voere Mauser 98
A buddy of mine got a super deal on a 98 Mauser out of the local paper the other day. It is a Voere Austrian made sporter with some neat features.
Anyway we shot it at the bench on Saturday and it shoots well but we both noticed that the trigger is good if you just load it and fire it however if you engage the safety and then dis engage it the trigger pull changes. It becomes long and creepy.
Any fix for this or do I just get him a Timney?

Get yourself a Timney featherweight. It is the best affordable after sales trigger on the market!

If you are into triggers, it can probably be fixed. But, if you must take it to a gunsmith for repair, you "might" have more money into the fix than just buying a Timney and installing it yourself.
Might be worth a check to see what a gunsmith would charge to do the fix however. There is something to be said for keeping the trigger oroginal in that particular rifle.
