OLBIKERAre Mo.7 Barrel threads the same as a Mo.700
Anybody know this ?????Thanks ahead OB

Yes, they are completely interchangeable. Headspace will likely be spot-on, too. The only kicker is that Remington receiver threads are not indexed. The roll marking and sight holes (if any) on the barrel might wind up in any position around the barrel.

Considering there is .0625 per 360 degree turn on a Remington barrel, and only .004 difference between go and no go on headspace, he'll be lucky the threads match. Of those recoil lugs I've measured, they range anywhere from .185 -.190. At least the threads will match.

OLBIKERThanks guys,I just needed to know if it could be done.

No sights to worry about.
Westpac,
You're right of course. I sure would like to run across some of the thicker lugs. The few (10 or so)I've measured all run 0.1845" 0.186". That extra few thou would be handy when you shave a hair too much off when trying to aligh sight holes.
