Source for .376 Steyr spare magazines? & Interesting Gun Show...
For the past several issues, ads have been running in either The Gun List or
Shotgun News for new, spare, magazines for the Steyr line of rifles. I really could use a couple for my .376 Steyr Pro-Hunter SBS. Of course, now I can't find any of the ads.

Anyone know of ANY source for such magazines?

TIA

Try www.cdnninvestments.com they were selling the rifles at one time. They have some listed on their site.

Haven'ttried Numerich, thought it would be too new for them to have any...maybe I should try it anyway. Never heard of Poppert's...what's that?

Thanks for the suggestions, you guys.

Nice guy and he has a ton of stuff not listed on his web site. I have no idea if he would have what your looking for but it’s worth a phone call.

Numrich lists mags for the Steyr in their catalog, but not for the .376. But...I have found in the past that they have a whole bunch of stuff on hand that never made it into their catalogs.

I've been looking for one over the past couple of days myself.

Sent emails to SteyrUSA - unanswered.

Diamond Trail was their distributor at one time in Iowa, Montezuma I think. I haven't tried them yet - but here's the contact information:

Thanks Rick and Fireball, willl try both your leads Monday.

Am at our club's 300+ table gun show this weekend... Will say one thing, the closing of Winchester has certainly not increased their prices in this area. There are numerous Model 94's at this show (dozens and dozens) ranging in price from $149 <up. Lots of other stuff at prices better than I have seen for a while. Don't know if that is an indication of a softening economy, or what. Maybe it is just that tax time is breathing hard on us all.

Actually saw an as-new Gruenig Tactical Rifle with a Leupold 3x9 Tactical scope come in the door and sell to one of my buddies today for $450. Considering that the rifle is worth about $1,500 or up retail and the scope is priced at what? another grand?, that was a Heck of a buy.

Also saw 9 or 10 double rifles for sale there too, including a cased English one in 10-gauge (all-rifled barrels, not a paradox-type). Chatted quite a while with a friend there who is making double rifles...among others he had a modern 50-110 double which he was asking $3,500 for. He also had pics of a recent African hunt with a 62 caliber muzzle-loader double he built...one-shot kill on an elephant. Penetrated the whole elephant, completely, on a heart shot, using 160 grs of BP and a hardened lead slug.

Am gonna take a "roll" to the show tomorrow in case something comes in at a good price, that I can't live without. That'll probably mean all the prices will be sky-high tomorrow (Grin).

Thanks again for your tips.

In years past for all things Steyr a very good source was Jerry Russell of Sundog Gunshop in Kimberly, Oregon. His number was 541 934 2117. An alternate phone number was 541 934 2395. It's been a couple years since I've been in touch with him but he has supplied me with some hard-to-find Steyr items that I couldn't find elsewhere.
