Marlin 336: 35 rem to 358, can it be done ?
I have a marlin 336 in 35 remington. Can I have it rechambered for a 358 Winchester and is the action strong enough to handle that round. Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance for your help

NO...
short answer...

you can get a 356, on an AE, but the 358 is loaded to hot (factory) to be safe.

Marcus,

This topic comes up every few months on the forums, so you might want to search old threads. If you are interested, you can e-mail me at rtmoore@attbi.com and I will be happy to relate my experience with this conversion and, hopefully, convince you that it's not a good idea.
