<PrimeTime>223 AI?
Thinking of rechambering a Remington 722 in .222 to .223AI. Is it hard to get dies for this caliber? What could I expect with a 55 grain bullet? Is there a website with reamer dimensions and or ballistics?

StonecreekThe .222 Rem Mag has pretty much the same case capacity as the .223 AI. It has the advantage of cheaper dies and factory loaded (god forbid) ammunition available. Since your 722 has plenty of magazine length for it, I might suggest it as an alternative.
But why would you want to mess up a fine old .222 classic? I'd leave it alone and go buy another rifle if you want more case capacity.

<Mike M>I'll second Stonecreek on both his points.
I don't even know why there is a 223 when we already had the 222 mag.
Leave that slick little 222 alone and get yourself a 22-250 if you want more velocity.
