lb404High Standard pump rib repair
A good friend received a high standard pump from his grandfather. He has hunted with it for years. The vent rib loosened and popped off a year or so back. An attempt to repair it locally failed. I need a recommendation for a smith to fix it for him. It appears it was glued on at the factory. We would even pay for it to be soldered on to restore it. Any ideas???

Bill MeyerThe origional ribs were fastened with an adhesive that turns to a rubber-like bonding agent. The ribs and adhesive were made by Poly-Choke. They are still in business today. I install polychoke ribs, it takes a special fixture to hold the rib straight while the adhesive sets up. Bill
