GrenadierLooking for extra long commercial Mauser triggerguard screws
Rear triggerguard screws, about 3/16" over standard length but I can cut longer down. For use with P-H/Santa Barbara actions. I only need a couple, preferably blued or blacked. I can't find anyone who has them in stock but I don't know any of the "secret, wink, wink" places gunsmiths go. Even if I did, I don't know the secret gunsmith handshake.

sliversI have always had to make 'um from blanks, supplied by Brownells.

GrenadierOkay, found those. I don't have a vise or a drill press. I could hold the screw with a vise-grip plier and turn a thread cutter on it. But it's not worth it for me to purchase the tools to do that just to make two screws. Also, cutting and slotting the head would be difficult for me, especially without even more tools. I was hoping to find a source of screws already threaded.

sliversI got some slotted blanks from somewhere, maybe Brownells in the distant past. When I needed trigger guard screws that were non-std. that's what I have used. The heads need fitting as they are over sized, as well as threading the shaft and cutting to length. No "drop-ins" that I'm aware of. You are looking for "custom made" on the shelf that most likely doesn't exist.

GrenadierI've purchased eight little bags of screws of various diameters and threads, including metric, and none of them fit. I'm almost to the point of drilling out the receiver action holes and threading them for a common, available screw. The cost of the tap would be less than I've already spent on screws. But I'd rather not have to do that.

GrenadierYES!
Order placed.
I searched and searched everywhere I could think of but I never thought to search for "magnum length" screws.
Thank you Custombolt.
I'm going to try to flame-blue them. I watched a video so now I'm an expert.
If that doesn't work I'll spray them with Cerakote and stick them in the oven.
