Can someone recommend a smith in NC who is good with M700's? Preferred in Eastern part of State if possible.

Dave Tooley in Gastonia. A bit of a drive from East NC, but Dave is one of the best rifle builders on the East Coast. He is as close as the brown UPS truck.

You may have problems with a long waiting list, lots of folks use his services. Dave is a premier 1000 yard gun builder.

Flatwoods Outfitters (Hubert NC)has a 'smith, but I have no experience base to recommend them by.

Iron Brigade Armory is the only place around here I have experience with. They do good work, but are selective/pricey.

I'd recommend giving IBA a call. I'm sure they can do the work, or make a good recommendation.
