I have my Mom's Remington 11 16 gauge and the stock was cut down for her when she was quite young...my nose almost touches the receiver. I can find semi-inletted buttstocks and forearms for the 20 and 12 guage but nobody can tell me if either will work on the 16 ga.

I'm at the point now, that I would pay to have both duplicated <as long as> this includes semi-inletted to fit the action.

Dennis Olson in Plains, MT has a Don Allen duplicator and does first class work. Search this forum for his name and his phone number is in one of the posts. If you can't find it, I'll hunt it up for you.

Kickapoo Gun shop and Gunsmiths says they can duplicate a stock in any medium you want. I have never had them do this however. They are out of Frankston, Texas, in case you are near by.

Oilburner- I can recommend someone in Houston (Pasadena) who does outstanding work for about $80-$100, quick turnaround. Email me if you want his phone number.

I don't want to sound harsh, but you are polishing a turd. If the Mod 11 has sentimental value, then by all means spend what you want on a new stock, but if you are just trying to get a longer LOP, then take a chunk of walnut or layers of plastic, cut to length needed, shape it to the butt, drill a hole to match the original stock, screw it and glue it, put a recoil pad on and you're good to go. Nearly takes longer to describe than to do if you're halfway handy with tools. The Model 11 was famed for breaking a sear and going full auto, just hang on. [Wink]

BTW, most places that sell those semi-inletted stocks will give you full return rights if you don't do anything to the blank. Especially if you explained your concerns about the stock fitting a 16 ga.

It may be a turd but it's my turd with sentimental value and I want to shoot it rather than look at it [Smile] When someone see's it in my hands, I don't want them to say, "look at that half assed hatchet job" he did to that stock.
