viperidaeIs there any advantage to the Winchester M70 trigger design vs a Timney replacement?

kcstottPros and cons to everything
I like it because it is a good design. it's easy to adjust. It easy to keep clean.
The problem is it's open so it's easy to keep clean but also easy to get junk in there.
There is onadvantage to the Win70 trigger that has a Timeny beat. At least for me it does.
You have no adjustment of the over ride sear engagement on the Win 70 trigger. It is a fixed distance.
The Timeny can be installed and set up incorrectly so that is has a proper pull weight but not enough engagement and would therefore be dangerous.
Now it goes without saying that all triggers need to be properly installed and setup.
I feel the Winchester trigger is easier the set up correctly.
