I may be way behind the times here but I noticed that Midway USA is selling these.

Thanks for the lnk....I didn't know this as well....$345 for a Magnum Mauser action isn't totally bad!.....But no actions for the .375 H&H yet.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they any good?

Most of them are "out of stock, no back order" and the few that they have left (7 Mag & 300 Mag) are on "inventory reduction" which usually means that they are gong to stop selling them.

It's a commercial Mauser made by Zastava from Serbia. Same as the old Interarms Mark X, and more recently the Charles Daly Mauser.

It's a true Mauser action. Purists will want a different bolt handle and safety. The model 70 type safety change would necessitate a different bolt shroud. The Zastava has a side safety and a streamlined shroud.

No idea what quality barrel comes with the 798 bbl action.
