Question for the group, what version of the Lyman 48 peep sight is made for the Remington Model 30? Thanks!

Mike, the Lyman 48-R & 48-RS was available for the Remington M-30s. The 48-R "second variation" was an option during production between 1930-1940. All 48 production ended in 1974 and they were making them from aluminum then.

Exactly what I needed to know. I will keep my eyes peeled for a 48-R or 48-RS. Thanks, Keith said that you were the man to talk to about the Lyman peeps!

FWIW, Redfield made their #70 micrometer receiver sight for the same rifle. It was also a code "R". They are also a nice sight.

will the 48 for an Enfield 1917 work on a Rem 30?

from what I gathered about and on my Model 30 what works on the enfield will work on the Rems.
