<JOHAN>Color on stock
Dear Friends
I got the message that my dear Ed Brown action is under process and will soon get a price and delivery date.
Next phase is style of stock and color. The action will be mate black and mate stainless barrel. Black color on the stock is out of question. Please all opinions are welcome.

<Mike Anderson>Don't know if they offer one to fit but check out the HS precsion stock in the prairie grass camo or desert sand, either would look good!

UltramanI am not sure what your goal is (wild, cammo or just good looking) but what i ended up doing with same color scheme is going with the charcoal/light grey combination on a laminated stock from Bill Shahane at D&B. You can see this on his website but the grey/black against the other metal components of same mix come off looking very sharp and sophisticated. But then there is always hot-pink! Good luck

<Bill>I have an HS in Prarie Grass camo. It looks like total ass, the picture in the catalog is way to kind.
If you like camo, try to find something similar the pattern wby puts on thier custom guns. I have one in desert camo and it is perfect for africa.
the sand color looks nice as well.

DB BillTheir stocks are made by McMillan so I would expect you can get anything McMillan will make...take a look thru their catalog. I like the swirled look using a basic "dead-grass green" as the major color with some tan and just a little bit of black mixed in.

<allen day>My old, much-used .300 Winchester wears a McMillan stock that's painted McMillan's dark brown color. I prefer that color to any other for high-end synthetic stocks. I like it so well that I have two custom rifles on order which will have McMillan stocks painted this same brown color.

AtkinsonIf I ever get a plastic stock rifle, and I won't I will use the Rimrock..It certainly has the right feel and shape. I have built a number of rifles for others using them..
