GG375Stirrup style sling swivel?
Guys
Do any of the custom parts suppliers make these? They are for the forend and are very common on Mannlicher rifles and carbines. I wish I had a photo to put here to show what I mean. I need to restock a rifle and want to use one for something different.
Thanks and have a good easter.

Stu CDoes this mount straight through the stock, or is there a metal re-inforce? Is there any attachment to the barrel?

GG375Not 100% sure Stu but I think there is a small steel boss inlayed into the stock each side of the barrel channel. The thru bolt also passes thru a banded lug on the barrel. All very complimicated but looks ok especially if the forend is slim and deepish in the european style. That is, U shaped rather than round in X section.
Cheers.

KurtCOn the custom mannlicher stocks that I had made, I used the stirrup and stock ferrules from the Ruger RSI rifles. They are available from the Ruger parts department.

GG375Thanks Kurt - I'll look into it.
Any chance of showing some photos of some of your custom stocked MS rifles? I bought a M1950 in 9.3x62 but the stock was broken into 3 pieces in transit to me so I'm up for a custom stock.
Cheers.

GG375Thanks KurtC - nice job. My 9.3 is a half stocked rifle with a single trigger and shotgun style trigger guard. It has different open sites also. As it will be getting a new stock it won't be classed as original anyway so I'm going to make a few other changes along the way - rust blue, lop bbl to 22", claw mounts, nice wood.
Cheers.
