Question For AR Board Members

Dan@Montana Rifle CoQuestion For AR Board Members
I just had a really simple question and it all has to do with our being on the verge of starting delivery on the short actions and left hand long actions (I know here everyone says "FINALLY", I agree
![[Big Grin]](images/icons/grin.gif)
). I normally post the numbers on the actions each and every week to keep everyone updated, but now that we are so close, would you like me to continue this? Or just do it on the Mini and Pro Hunter actions? I'd be interested in knowing the answer to this burning question.

<Sniper>How about on the short actions you post the one's shipped for that week?

Mickey1Dan
A question off topic but why did you use a coned breech and mauser type threads? I saw my first one of your actions the other day and it seems like a lot of work to get it polished up because of the awkwardness of the setup.
I am not very knowledgable in this regard, or any other if you ask around, but I am just curious.

<Rusty>Dan,
The more information the better. Now if we could just speed up the process and get the PH actions delivered in January?

Just wish'n!

Bob338Just how close are "we" on the short actions. I'm getting terribly frustrated. Only 5 months after the earliest promises. Post them.

jeffeossoBob,
i respect your desire to have the action, quickly. There is the concept that complaining to the workman nevers does you any favors.
I have had simular situations, and had to determine if the discount/deal was worth the time... some times it is, some times it aint.
I'll say this for MRC, they offered a fantastic bargin, and will deliver. That they have kept us 100% in the know, with rapid updates and early notice of change of schedule (i would get snippy if it was 30days past delivery date, and got an "oh, btw")
thanks Dan, get the damn PH's out next

alvinmackDan,
I think you're doing a fine job keeping your customers updated. I wouldnt waste your time over at HA. I see that needledick swamp is trying to blackball you to pay him advertising fees. I hope you told him to go piss in the wind.
I personally wouldn't give that piece of shit a dime either for advertising or donations. I ordered talley rings twice through HA. And then got into it with another board member and he gave him my personal information (home address) and he used that information to make threats against me.

alvinmackDan,
Am I too late if I wanted to get a order in for your MTN 1999 LA Left Hand action?

Oregon BornDan, I'd sure like to see shipments of serial #'s posted! Then I can camp on the steps of the gunshop waiting for delivery
![[Big Grin]](images/icons/grin.gif)
Also, If you were to post weekly shipped serial numbers I wouldn't have to pester Scott at MRC so often
(i'm already making muzzle blast noises, imagining shooting my new toy! Hurry with delivery please as people are starting to look peculiar) at me

Dan@Montana Rifle CoThanks Everyone for your input. It is greatly appreciated by myself and the staff of the Montana Rifle Company.
Once we start delivering the Short Actions within the next couple of weeks, I'll try to post each days shipments for you guys to see.
Mickey1 you asked about the cone breeching and Mauser threads. Actually they are Winchester threads 1" x 16 TPI. The reason we went with the cone in the action is because anyone who has rebarreled a Winchester knows the pain and time it takes to cut the cone breeching and extractor cut in the barrel. We also believe it makes the front ring/barrel connection stronger.
Rusty I agree with you whole heartedly (spelling?) about the PH actions. I would love to see them out before the next Shot Show or Safari Club Show this next year as I believe it would go over "huge" with the attendees. But unfortunately the sales aren't as brisk as we hoped. I believe we are sitting at around 61 actions pre-sold which you have to understand doesn't show enough interest "yet" to start production.
Bob338 Your frustration is completely understandable. When we gave the original "estimate" on the availability of the short actions we took it for granted that Pinetree would have no problems as it was the same design as the long, just a little shorter. But our best guess wasn't as good as we thought and Pinetree, while doing one heckuva job for us, wasn't cooperating. We, and I will say this now, will "Start" shipping the Short actions within the next two weeks. Once we get the first batch they'll start rolling in here on a regular basis each week. So everyone who has one on order should have theirs within October!
alvinmack Thank you for your support. We do not mind doing advertising, but unfortunately the way he went about it was not very business like. Unfortunately it is their board and they make the rules. It is our job to follow the rules. As for getting in on the Long Action L/H you are "NOT" too late to get in on it. Give Scot a call and he'll set you up. He's one of our best!
Thanks again guys and I'll keep the numbers posted.

Jim KobeDan:
You gotta watch out for that Alvin Mack guy; he is kind of a renegade and don't pack a full pack. Kinda like a brick sort of a full load. By the way, he has a brother who is a marine, one load of shorts shy of a full seabag. I guess it must run in the family, second generation only. His dad seems OK.
