canted rifling
I see Broughton offers this-
http://www.rifle-barrels.com/bore.html

anyone have any experience with these, or opinions, etc?

what other barrel makers offer a "fast" rifling like this, or a form of it, say with both sides of the grooves being less than 90 degrees?

thanks..

Tim North has been producing 5C barrels for about 2 years now. He has added several new calibers and twist each year. His 5C barrels have been very well recieved. I have used them on 5 rifles and each has shot very well. It is not new technology Boots and others have been doing it for years.

Other makers offering "canted" rifling are Shilen "ratchet", Schneider "gas seal", Rockcreek "5R".

I have a Shilen ratchet on my unlimited gun and shot a .189 10 shot group this past Saturday.

thank you all kindly- at this juncture, then, what twist rate would be suggested for a 6.5x55 using any of the above barrels.

thanks again

Most barrell makers have a twist chart on their websites.
