shootitNeed some help identifying an old Bishop stock
I picked up 4 of these old Bishop stocks at a recent gunshow thinking they would fit a small ring Mauser. (Got them at a good price cause the seller didn't know what they fit either!) Got home and measured the hole spacing and took a better look at the inletting and came to the conclusion that these will not fit my Mod 95. The hole spacing center to center is 7 7/16". Anyone have any idea what these may fit? Thanks for your help.
Here's a picture of the top and bottom of receiver area in one of the stocks.

John303.My best guess - Remington, going by the position of the recoil lug & front action mounting bolt. --- John303.

Don't think so the area where the front action screw is loacated would be round for a Remington.
As usual just my $.02

shootitNot a Rem 700 as the holes don't quite match and like ramrod said, the inletting isn't round for a 700 action. Don't have an older Winchester to try, but I'll see if I can dig up the hole spacing dimension for one.

michaeljI believe it could be a 1903 or a3 Springfield stock. The back of the mag well has the little cut out that would accommodate the magazine I believe

Mark PoleyThe inlet for the front of the trigger guard is too wide for a Springfield. The inlet should be the same width as the trigger guard inlet.

shootitWell, looks like the post has about run it's course. Thanks to all for your information. Since I don't have anything that will fit these, I'll be moving them over to the classifieds as time permits. Thanks again.
