Synthetic stock for Brazilian Mauser
I am wanting to replace the sporterised military stock with a synthetic stock. What are your opinions on the Bell&Carlson and Butler Creek stocks? I will be using the rifle for bushveld hunting.
Thanks

I have a Mauser that's been sitting in a Bell Carlson stock for I think right around 15 yrs. It's held up well, no complaints.

I have used B & C stocks and don't think much of them. I've never used the Butler Creek but have used Ram-Line. The best that I have used of the less expensive stocks are the Hogue "Over-Molded". There have a soft rubber texture on the outside with an inner fibreglass core and have two different types, one with only aluminum pillars and the other with a full aluminum bedding block. You can check them out here;

The other route is to order them from Brownell's;
