IMO a good looking floorplate

Hey guys, was looking around at old guns and found this

pre-war mauser floorplate

I know not everybody likes these extended floorplates, but I think they look good. I also found the stock at the butt interesting, never seen that done, anybody else ever see that checkering around the butt in front of the pad?

OK, I will say what all are thinking. I bet on a joint line under the butt checkering. What say you? The floor plate looks good, but I have never liked those obtrusive opening levers. Nice Mauser. Some one needs buy and give a good home.
