Advice needed for CZ 550

I have an older model CZ in 416 Rigby. It has a single crossbolt. No problems so far, but based on what I have been hearing there is the possibility of a stock split, probably at an inopportune moment. Here is the question:
" Should I bed it AND install an additional crossbolt, or should I just bed it"?
If an additional crossbolt is needed I would need to have someone do it for me, however, I could probably do just the bedding myself.
