Is that his new "round" bottom metal on the scoped rifle?

No sir, his new bottom metal is rounded all over, including the tangs, so it conforms to the bottom of the forend and grip.

bolt handles are too straight up and down and just do not look "right" to me.

That's the style of original Oberndorf sporters. Current reproductions of original magnum Mausers (Granite Mountain, Johanssan, Vektor, etc.) all have similar bolts.

Those are beautiful. The bottom rifle has the bolt handle style that I want! I may be strange, but that looks great to me.

I assume that the middle rifle is a take-down, is that correct? Looks like incredible work.
