Dago RedAnybody know where to get a S&W Silhouette Front Sight?
All right I figured this would be a good place to find out, even though it's not a hunting rifle. Saw something I thought was really slick the other day, but don't have a need for the gun (or the money).
S&W used to make a silhouette model of some of their revolvers. Front sight had four settings, and a knob to select them. My understanding from what I read was each position could be sighted in to a given yardage.
My first question is if anyone knows whether smith still makes this sight or if there's a copy out there?
Second, and maybe sillier because I can't think of a reason for it, would it be possible to put one on a 1911?

Actually, would be slick on an open sighted 357 lever gun too.

They were really common of PPC course revolvers Bo-Mar I believe were the brand.
Check Brownnells.
If one has enough money one can do most anything one wants to a firearm.
