RollandShotgun stock fitting
I had a gentleman ask about wanting to have a shotgun stock modified to fit him better. It currently cause him to shoot low. I do not do that kind of work so I need to send him to someone that can help him. I can install an adjustable butt pad, but not sure if that will correct his problem
There is no one local I hoped perhaps someone might know of a shop in the Phoenix area
that works with shotguns.

SydneyHi--- one the more common fixes for a low shooting shotgun is to install a adjustable
comb--this allows the comb to move left and right also up and down--moving the comb up
should change the point of impact higher
hope this helps sydney

Buy a shotgun laser sight on Amazon for about $12 then adjust stock to where the laser points. Easy and simple.

SydneyA laser would be a good starting point but you need to pattern the shotgun on paper
I would shoot the shotgun at appox 35 yrds to start
adjust the comb until the beads line up and the pattern is centered
on the paper--the raise the comb and shoot until you have a pattern of appox 70 % high-- fine tune from there

skl1If he's shooting low, the comb's too low. Getting fitted is a neat process, but putting on one of those adhesive pads to raise the comb is a quick/easy/cheap way to get on target combined with shooting at the patterning board. Beretta Gel Tek or Kick-Eez they sell at my trap and skeet place works pretty well for a lot of shooters. But they don't look great.

Recoil RobOne of the top shotgun dealers in the country is in Scottsdale, they may do fitting or should certainly have a reference for you. He whould get a proper fitting then have the stock modified.
