M1TankerMy stocks for my 9422
Here are some pics of the stocks I am doing for mine and my Dads Winchester 9422's. I had the blanks for a couple years and finally got around to getting the blanks turned. I had them turned by Treebone Carving. I cant say enough good stuff about Treebone. His workmanship, fit, and finish are excellent. I will have very little work to fit the stocks to the rifles, they fit almost perfect with about 1/16" material sticking proud that I will have to fit.
I wish the pics were better. George at Treebone put some laquer thinner on them before taking pics for me to show off the grain. The pics do not do the wood justice.

M1TankerAfter I get these finished I will post some additional pics.
The rifles are going to be a real neat pair. I am color casing the actions, levers, buttplates, and barrel bands. I am also puting a set of marbles tang sights on them. They will be almost too pretty to shoot.
Lawndart,
I think it would have taken more than just pretty grain to keep her around. Pretty may only be skin deep but ugly goes clear to the bone. (if she falls into that category)
