Ruger #1 trigger?
I just got a Ruger #1 Varmint model in .204 ruger. The trigger checks a little over 4 lbs. Have any of you had any luck adjusting the factory trigger? If not is there a good aftermarket trigger you would suggest?

the canjar is next to impossible to find. the moyer is ok and it is like the old original ruger trigger. the klipspringer is a single set trigger and is the mercedes of the ruger trigger.

The Moyers is a bit better than the factory trigger. I have 3 #1's, one has a Moyer and the others have the Kepplinger. The aren't cheap, but they are fantastic triggers, well worth the $.

What kind of trigger pull (lbs.) are you getting from the Kepplinger?

in the set stage not pounds but ounces.

Max, have you verified that on a #1? When I looked it up it said 1-3 lbs in the set stage.

I'm not going to take a gamble with that price.

Buck,

Mine are at 2 lbs unset and 6 oz set. Three different pull scales have verified it.

No luck adjusting. Not with the current triuggers! Put a Canjar Single-set on it - these work very well UNSET!
