CustomstoxI have spent the morning working on your 7X57. NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!! (in my best NY accent). You did want a thumbhole didn't you? With an angled forend tip and a white line spacer. Better say yes, you are getting them.

HowardI hope you mean my 280 or maybe your tired old mind is wandering and confusing your customers. Surely working on one project at a time you are not confusing them.

CustomstoxNo it is now a 7X57. I know how much you like them so I rechambered it. That is not the right term though. Jeffe taught me this method and I won't give away all the real secrets to it but you basically fill the chamber with JB weld, put mold release on a 7X57 round, inert it in the chamber and fire it. Firing will remove any of the JB weld forward of the 7X57 round and leave a clean bore all the way to the existing rifling. Then when it sets up, you just remove the fired round. I know how you like high scope mounts so I found those at a metal scrap yard. Cost me $42 at 20 cents a pound.
I used the dipnwhirl method of finishing it. You fill your bathtub or the one you wash the dog in with finish and dip the stock and whirl it on a strang (that is what it sounded like when this guy told me how to do it) and whirl it over your head for 5 or 10 minutes. I "gave it a whirl" for 10 minutes got tired and had to scrape off some of the grass that got stuck to the almost dry finish. Will sandblast that part and rewhirl it a few more times
And Larry, I told him he would have to hold a gun to my head for me to work on a maple stock. He reminded me he owned a few. So the customer is always right, even if he has his head up his ass.

CustomstoxHoward, you have to go let the cat out of the bag, just when I might have had Forrest looking elsewhere than Duane, lol.
Actually, I have to confess, I can not take credit for that "beauty". I found it on gunbroker.
