Alberta CanuckGood, dependable "action gunsmith" in Oregon?
There's a Sringfield '03 in my vault which I've had for about 40 years now. When I first bought it (used) I did a lot of work on it, but never got around to running cartridges through the action until it was all done up nice and fancy.
When I tried that, HORRORS! Some previous possesor had apparently opened the action rails just enough they would not retain the .30-06 cartridges in the magazine...
So, who, in Oregon please, would you recommend to modify the action so it feeds reliably?
These days I really don't want to ship it anywhere, I'd rather hand-carry it to and from whoever does the work.
If I HAVE to ship it, I'll probably send it to Dennis, or to Malm. But I really don't want to give it to any common carrier....
Thanks for any help you can give.
