PAndyK31 Swiss action question
Does anyone know what happens if you accidentally pull the trigger on a swiss K31 when the bolt is not quite locked shut the whole way? When I do this on mine DRY FIRING the striker still goes forward and the bolt jumps forward that last 1/16 turn, both at the same time. I don't know if it would detonate a primer in that situation or not. Just wondering if a fella could eat the bolt if the thing was not completely locked (i.e. with the SN on the bolt facing straight up).
Thanks,
PAndy

ElmerI believe there is a lug on the firing pin which prevent it from touching the primer if not locked at the time the trigger is pull Elmer.

TCLouisPut a case in the chamber with ONLY the primer . . .
WITH ONLY THE PRIMER point it in a SAFE direction and try it 13 times.
What happens?

ClarkI have a K31 with only a moderate effort to close the bolt when dry firing.
But at the range with ammo, it takes more effort, and many times I thought I had misfire, but there was no primer strike mark.
So I have to push harder.
