CZ 550 Lux Decelerator pad
Looking into replacing 7 x 64 CZ 550 Lux stock recoil pad with a Decelerator (like they come "standard" now, or did on my .416 Rigby Safari Magnum stock).

Do y'all know which Pachmayer (Decelerator) stock number / unit would be a close fit? Don't know much about this but need a project, maybe in conjunction with refinishing the stock...

Thanx!

Alright, CZ-USA (in KC) says use an oversize pad and have a 'smith shape it to fit.

What's meant by "oversize"? The obvious, ie. one size larger than the current pad? A unit that will fit anything (once cut down to fit)? Something else?

Hopeful still...

Measure the butt dimensions. Go to your Brownell's catalogue or the Paachmayr/Uncle Mikes' website, compare and follow directions. Voila.

Thanx!

I'm the reason there's help desks.

If you were talking Sims Vibration Lab pad buying one oversize would mean buying the "grind to fit" pads. These still come in small, medium and large size. My CZ 550 American would require a "large" grind to fit pad. A gunsmith charges in the area of $35 to $50 to install a pad. Tom Purdom

Money well spent, as it is a dirty, nasty job.
