I want buy new tactical remington rifle called 40XB tactical there are not again in remington site but there are here

problem...twist is 1:14 but for 168 and 175gr bullets which is the best? 1:14 is good for 168gr? I want shoot distance from 300y to 1000y

8" For bullets heavier than 220gr.
10" For bullets up to 220 gr.
12" For bullets up to 170 gr.
14"* For bullets up to 168 gr.
15"* For bullets up to 150 gr.

I know a guy who is the real deal as a retired sniper. He won't post here but I am am going to ask for his comments. He used a Remington with a Ranging scope in SE Asia. I don't think the rifles that he used were so heavy.

Before he comments I would not limit myself to such a slow twist either.

If a person wants to be able to shoot well at 1000 yds he should have a 12twist to use bullets up to and including 190gr. If he wants to shoot 200s a 10 inch twist wouldn't hurt. My 10"twist 308 shoots well with any bullets from 155 to 200 grains. Regards, Bill.
