McMillan "Light-Fill" Stock Option?
I've heard this mentioned as an option on McMillan stocks. I've never considered a McMIllan stock their average weight (32 oz's) seems a bit heavy.

What is "light-fill", what does it cost and, approximately what will a stock weigh with this option?

Thanks,

Brad

I counted last night and I have 21 McMillan stocked rifles. My lightest "light" filled stock,is in the Mountain Rifle pattern and weighs 24oz.

Kelly will be more than happy to explain the options, regarding weight preference.

If wanting a truly light rifle,my advice is to choose a smaller stock, which will naturally consist of less material. The Model Seven and Mountain Rifle patterns are a good example. The Sako Classic and the Griffin and Howe are pretty svelte also.

The light filled option, isn't an added expense. Assuming an average LOP,I'd say 28oz,would be representative of an expected weight.

Cost depends on the options you wish. Figure on $325 to your doorstep, for a completed drop-in,without added options............

Stick, thanks for the response... since all I own are stainless Model 70's, the G&H stock might be the ticket... nice lines.

I put my Wife's Pre'64 22K-Hornet in a G&H pattern. Very nice stock,in my opinion. Typical of the lightish patterns,it will only accept a #3 contour.

Good shopping................
