Which type of wood for a stock?
Happy New Year to all!

I am looking to restock my Win Mod 70 7mm Rem Mag with one that fits better (need a high comb). My wood options are maple, laminate and walnut. I have been tempted to go with the maple. Any suggestions/input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Any of the three will handle the 7mm Rem mag.

It's purely what you like in color.

Pick your flavor and have at it!

I like English Walnut. Just a personal choice. However I think the high comb style stocks look best in a laminate.

As a general rule, people are nuts!

My choice would be walnut first, laminate second, and maple third. Maple gunstocks just don't turn me on. I think I'd even prefer a sythetic over maple. Happy New Year!

Walnut. A good stick of english(or any of its other names) being my preference.
