Plastic bedding Ruger MKII
Hi!

I will have my Ruger MKII RBZ plastic bed,
here in sweden are Ruger quiet rare rifle and my gunsmith have little experiance with this rifle. But he is a real "star" to get rifle shoot well.

Two questions:
1) Keep pressure point or free-float?
2) How much of the barrel need to be bedded?

The problem with my rifle:
First bullet hit (100 yards) always where I aim, second bullet hit 1 1/2 inch left and 1 1/2 inch high. Third shoot hit 3/8 inch from first bullet and fourth bullet hit 3/8 inch from second bullet.
This drive me crazy..................

Thanks!

Does sound like you might have a bedding problem. I personally freefloat everything I bed. On the Ruger I also bed the flat part of the chamber area just like I do on a Mauser.

I agree with ramrod340. If you have a lightweight barrel for caliber, try up-pressure at the forend tip (4 to 5 lbs/ 2 kg.) only if the free float doesn't work.
