One of my co-workers ended up with a Kimber 89 BGR 338 Win Mag with the dovetail receiver. I searched the internet but could not find rings for it. I assume that it just needs rings since it is a dovetail receiver. What kind of rings does it take? I could not find anything specifically for the 89.

When Kimber made these rifles they made there own rings which has been discontinued.
They are the same as Warne Premier rings with 7/16 inch dovetails which has also been discontinued.You will have to find a used or NOS from someone.

How many one inch rings do you want.

I did a batch of the Kimber Brownell rings several years ago in one inch standard height, and still have about a dozen of them in the white. Non detachable or double lever.
