Are VZ33, G33/40 and DWM 1902 Mex 98 barrels interchangeable?

Are VZ33, G33/40 and DWM 1902 Mexican 98 barrels interchangeable, or close enough that only very minor work needs to be done to interchange? Thanks.

Theoretically, but I just tried to screw a 33/40 barrel into a 36 Mex and it wouldn't go. So, the minor work would be chasing the threads in this case.

That could happen on any combination of random Mauser barrels though.

So put the .250 Savage barrel from your classy new VZ33 on your 1902 Mexican. Makes sense to me...

That is exactly what I had in mind! Only I am thinking of rechambering to 257 Roberts, since I am all set with components and I've been dreaming of A Mexican Bob for 20 years.
