New Mauser trigger-Mod 70 type

I believe Phil Shoemaker was looking at these also. The only thing I dont like about the Mauser is the trigger. The M-70 is a far better trigger IMO for durability. This looks good to me!

For some darn reason I can never get that website to open? Driving me nuts. I recently bought a pair of their detachable rings for my ZKK-602 and they are pretty nice pieces.

Yea, here is another photo

They look very impressive to me and Morris has a video showing how to fit them for all us ham-fisted gun plumbers who want to try screwing things up first, before handing them off to someone who knows what they are doing.

Besides being well built, Morris has them in stock.

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

Ladies and Gentlemen:

That sure is an interesting application of the old Model 70 trigger configuration.

On the down side, it won't allow for much wood to be left between the sear spring assembly and the rear magazine screw. In a fiberglass stock that might not matter, but in a wooden stock, well?

+1. My thoughts as well. Been looking at the Huber trigger for that very reason.

Actually a number of FN sporting actions were made using this type trigger. The ones that I've seen were always of the cheaper contract Sears and Monkey Ward variety and of course most of the new owners couldn't wait to replace the M70-type triggers with Timneys or similar when they were 'upgrading' the FN actions. IIRC the triggers in these actions were hinged in the TG rather than in the receiver (M70) or in the trigger itself (example above).

I would like to see an adjustment screw for sear engagement, similar to some of the old Canjars.

I have had a few of the old JC Higgens FN's with the trigger mounted on the bottom metal and when the stocks got wet and swelled it caused all sorts of problems. I also had one break in use.
I much prefer this one by Arctic Arms.
