Dago RedRe: makers of octagon barrels
Mark Stratton does great work, saw a bunch at a show recently. he also keeps pretty good inventory of Shilen barrels from what I hear, so youmight have less of a wait time as well.

Dago RedBlue,
the Guildn's guide to member's and their services has an "in memory" on his page, with the last year listed as 2000. I am not sure if this means he has passed on, or is just retired. Didn't know him personally so don't know for sure.

Mark_StrattonHey Blue and Red,
John Pell passed away I think it was 2001. The last time I saw him was the Rocky Mountain Elk Show in Denver.

mhoLilja lists them as a "semi-standard" item, i.e. listed with a standard mark-up over a regular barrel. The Lilja website also lists a conversion factor to calculate diameter across the flats from a round barrel.

sharps54Montana Rifleman does a great job, I had them rebarrel a stainless Winchester Classic Model 70 in .375 H&H to 458 Lott in an octagon barrel and was very happy with the result.
