J StamboughRecoil pads
I have a SS M77 with a laminate stock. i want to change the recoil pad and noticed that Brownells carry pre-fit pads for "wood" stocked M77's. Will these pads come very close to being drop in fit? Yes I know i could call Brownells and ask but i hate talking on a phone, and the gunsmiths and tinkerers here give good advice. thanks in advance!

yetiI bet you have a high chance of a very good fit, due to the predicability of the Ruger stock dimensions. If it doesn't fit call Brownells and they'll take it back and refund your beans as happened with a 70's era Win M94.

hoghuntingJ,
This is Limbsavers site for the actual sizes of their fitted pads. Measure the length and width of your existing pad and see if Limbsaver has a pad that will come close. You can also print out the actual pad size to see how the new pad will fit.
