Not according to Leupold.

Because US Wby mounts had not arrived in Australia (at the time) Leupold told me to buy bases for both Rem 700 and M70 and use the front M70 base for the front of the Wby AND they would refund me the cost of one set of bases via their agent in Australia. My enquiry was prompted when looking at the Leupold catologue and seeing the Wby listed mounts were no longer "Rem 700" and also had a different number. I think Talley also has them as being different.

However, Rem 700 mounts will "fit on" OK.

My guess is that when Wby started making in the US there may have been a "small accident" in the dimensions of the receiver.

I just pulled this from the Talley site.

252700 REMINGTON 700-721-722-725-40X /HOWA 1500(LONG OR SHORT ACTION)

252705 WEATHERBY MAGNUM / WEATHERBY ACCUMARK/ MARK V

252706 WEATHERBY LIGHT WEIGHT

First don't kill the messenger on this one, both me and my smith think its a dumb idea but he asked me to post this so I will.

Does anybody know of a 1 piece scope mount for a Weatherby Mark V (Howa) with 20 MOA cant?

We are aware of Badger parts they don't do Weatherby's, and a call to Weatherby got laughs.

My rant is why do some people have more money than brains? I really won't go into the details but this one is a classic.

I didn't quite follow that?

The Rem 700 mounts will fit? That would make this easy.

The Howa Mark V (and also the Vanguard) use Rem 700 mounts.

The US of A Wbys do not so if you look at a current Leuplod listing for example then Wby Mark V is shown with its own mounts. But a Vanguard will have Rem 700 listed.
