hardin284CZ-527 Magazine modification (shorten) sources
Does anyone do the mod on CZ-527 magazines where it is shortened to 2 rounds and is flush with the bottom of the rcvr? RVB Precision does them, but I can't get a call returned. Help appreciated. I'm tired of the magazine sticking me in the ribs everytime I use the sling over my shoulder.

7x57mmhardin: sorry no one has stepped up to the plate yet. I thought I might be able to help, but the fellow I was looking for is the very one you mentioned who will not respond to you. I might add that it is not just the magazine. Some mill work must also be done on the bottom metal to remove metal from in front of the trigger guard. I hope someone gets with you on this. You might also, just for the heck of it, check with some gunsmiths in your area to see if any of them might have ideas. Sorry I could not offer more. Tom Purdom

hardin284Yes, that is RVB. I spoke to Roy, the owner last night & will be sending the parts there. $65 for this mod..well worth it in my opinion.
Now, if I could just find someone to turn the safety around. I just can't get used to that forward=safety, back=fire thing. bassackwards in my American opinion.

hunt127588There was a guy on rimfirecentral.com a couple years ago that was turning safeties around on CZ452s. You might try doing a search there and seeing if he can do it and is willing.

loud-n-boomerDo you guys know if original factory magazines will still work after the conversion? Also, could someone post contact information for RVB?
Thanks,
Dave
