Super 88Bedding a stock
This is a first time project for me and I am practicing on an old Mosin Nagant stock. I am using grey Marine Tex as the bedding material. Can I use paste car wax as a release agent and if so exactly how would I apply it? Thanks in advance.

FbullI have always used Kiwi clear shoe polish wax and have never had a problem. It is recomended here often.

FbullForgot to add that I apply with a cloth. I use two coats and do not polish after applying. Some suggest to polish after applying.

Doc224/375A Release wax is the best as it's rating is higher for exothermic reaction .
No matter what type of wax one chooses , proper procedure is application and dry soft cloth removal .
Do you leave visible wax residue on your vehicles after a waxing application , without buffing off
the excess residuals ?. NO !.
Key is to Clean surfaces to be released prior to waxing , Then apply 2-3 coat minimum application and
hand wipe residual off each application . If done properly Nothing will stick .
I prefer a paste wax with higher % of carnuba .
I have NO ISSUES with Teflon waxes as used in Marine , Aircraft and some Automotive brands .
" Silicone SUCKS "! , for these applications !. Stay away for Silicone based products !!!.

I've also used wood floor wax Johnson & Johnson although if floor wax is ones only option , I prefer
this brand to all other floor wax products . Dura Seal .

I don't need or use !. I have cases of Mold releases !.
