Rifle Basix makes a "drop in" sear for the tang safety 77, claiming adjustabilty from 14oz to 2lb.

Not pertinent to your question:

The triggers on the rifles are adjustable, I believe. I have two and they break cleanly at about 3-1/2 pounds.

Yes supposedly adjustable, I can't get this one below 5 1/2 lbs.

I bought one of those a couple of years back, from Midway I think. It made a huge improvement in the trigger pull, in fact I'm still thinking I should adjust it back up a bit....

It was money well spent, IMO.
