AS641st time bedding
Should I be afraid to try glasbedding my ruger m77 300 winmag w/wood stock? I'm getting 3in. groups at 100yds w/180gn spitzer and 72gn imr 4831. Is it worth trying? I'm sure I can handle it.

Toomany ToolsIt probably is worth it, but first I'd try 200 grain bullets. I've had my M77 for just shy of 20 years and it's always preferred 200 grain bullets and IMR 4350 powder.

Dall85I would try many loads in in 165/180 and 200 with different powders and primers (within limits, of course). One more suggestion is check all fit in the stock: screws tight, barrel not touching one side and finally a very thin piece of plastic under the barrel about an inch back from the forend. May work and may not, but worth the effort. JMO.

K20350I was thinking about glass bedding a few rifles so last week I took one of my Mosin-Nagant milsurps that I paid $70.00 for and went for it. It went well. When that action popped out of the stock and I didn't glue it in you should have seen the smile on my face. I would suggest trying it out first on something "less valuable" first.
