troutcreeksRuger 1V Scope Base
I couldn't get the scope back far enough for a 20x varmint scope, even with extended rings. Lacking the ability to do a radius on a taper I milled down the tops of the existing Ruger blocks and soldered a flat bar which I then milled for Talley rings. It works but I think its looks could be improved. Does anybody make anything like this? Or have thoughts on how to improve it? Thanks [IMG:left]

dpcdYes, Ruger makes the quarter ribs; one for the 1H .458 is close to the varmint barrel and could be modified to fit.

speerchucker30x378EGW makes a replacement, one piece scope base. Rip off the old POS and bolt it on.

speerchucker30x378OOPS ! You have the Varmint contour. Not sure about that. The EABCO base will probably work for that. It's a bit ugly too.
