<yorick>Who makes a decent replacement stock for a Whitworth?
I really like the original stock on my 458 wm Whitworth but the darn thing is cracking.
Anyone make a reccomendation for a decent looking replacement? I like wood, and I really like the look and feel of the original, I don't mind heavy but I do want something that isn't going to break.
Thanks

craigsterYou might try Great American gunstocks in Yuba City, Ca. I have used them in the past and they can come up with most anything.

BobsterA SARCO ad in a recent Shotgun News issue listed Whitworth takeoff stocks for around $75. These were listed as walnut originals with barrel channels inletted for large calibers.
